My Story
Moving between schools in Switzerland and New York gave me a unique perspective on how differently young people think about money.
I noticed that my peers often had very different attitudes toward spending and financial priorities. Some were more intentional about using their money for everyday needs and long-term wellbeing, while others were more focused on spending on things they wanted in the moment. These differences made me wonder: Why aren’t we learning how to make better financial decisions while we’re still young?
The more I thought about it, the more I realized that financial literacy is rarely taught early enough. We learn how to solve equations, write essays, and prepare for exams, but many of us are never taught how investing works, how to evaluate financial decisions, or how the choices we make with money today can affect our future.
That realization inspired me to start Fidi Investment Club—a community where high school students can learn about investing, discuss markets, exchange ideas, and connect with finance professionals.
For me, Fidi is not just about learning how to make money. It’s about learning how to think about money, make informed decisions, and develop a lifelong philosophy around investing.
